During the last two decades, the relations between Russian Federation andPeople’s Republic of China is dramatically improving and advancing into closerpartnership. This perspective is far more noteworthy for scholars of internationalrelations, including Mongolian fellows. In this extent the purpose of this research paperis intent on discovering potential impacts on Mongolia’s foreign policy and its tendencyon the strategic partnership between Russian Federation and People’s Republic ofChina.Sino-Russian relations have been of greater influence in Mongolia for years as thecountry is “sandwiched” in a geopolitical location. The Foreign Policy Concept ofMongolia emphasizes: Maintaining friendly relations with the Russian Federation,People’s Republic of China shall be a priority directions of Mongolia’s foreign policyactivity. It shall not adopt the line of either country but shall maintain in principle a balanced relationship with both of them and shall promote all-round neighbourlycooperation. In doing so, the traditional relations as well as the specific nature of oureconomic cooperation will these two countries will be taken into account.Therefore, it is a vital issue to research on the relations between the neighboringcountries, which should be regarded as an importance to Mongolia’s future prosperity.Even further, Sino-Russian relations might have wide range of impacts on NortheastAsian security and global balance of power.Scholars of the two countries as well as Mongolian fellow scholars have beendiscussing wide openly and expressing their views on the relations.While further achievement in bilateral relations and on which field of cooperationshould they collaborate more are major issues in the research of Russian and Chinesescholars, those in Mongolia, in terms of national security, approach as externalassessment-oriented research on the relations between Mongolia’s two neighbors.
