In recent years, social stability of frontier minority areas and national securityof China has become an important issue of concern in our party and government.Meanwhile, all kinds of contradictions in ethnic frontier regions caused by ethnicconstruction, religious infiltration, population mobility and cross-border economiccooperation have also proposed a new task for our party to do the United Front Workat grassroots.The shift of the focus on the United Front work, uniting all forces that can beunited as its purpose, from the upper front to the grass-root Front, is the developmentdirection in the new period.This paper started from the United Front Theory, combined with the importanceof the United Front Work on the basis of Yanbian by in-depth field investigation andresearch, and selected three research objects: the United Front Work of Yanbianreligious circles and rural religious groups; the United Front Work of minoritygroups dispersed in the city; united front work in non-public sectors of the economyIt analyzed the problems deeply with facts in the above three aspects, tried tofind the final reasons from the deficiency of the system and the policy, and lack ofawareness in the importance of the United Front Work. This paper also providedsome strategies and advice in improving and strengthening policies, systems,organization operation and cadre team construction.Strengthening the research on the United Front work of frontier ethnic areas,will not only develop the United Front Work in Yanbian area further, provide areference in theory and methods of the United Front Work, but also be helpful inpromoting equal, united and harmonious ethnic relations, implementing the unity ofall ethnic groups, accelerating the social stability and economic development,strengthening public security of Yanbian and ensuring the safety of northeast areas.
