Even though NGOs are not aiming at making a profit, as the commercial enterprises, they need financial management as well. It is significant to NGOs that managers should keep their eyes on the organizations’ financial condition and financial health which affect the long-term benign development of their organizations. Financial management profoundly affects the present and the future of NGOs. Based on correlative studies and the methods of participant observation, interview and literature survey, this report has researched the condition of the organization Z’s financial management. The report starts from providing an overview on the organization Z’s financial condition. By analyzing the operation of mechanisms for financial management, planning and financial budgeting for organization, the managers’ cognitive degree of financial management and the self-discipline arising from internal financial management, the report has showed the difficulties and challenges in financial management faced by the organization. After analyzing the causation, the report puts forward three basic measures:choosing objectives of financial management, setting up financial budgeting process and implementing the principle of financial disclosure. |
