The construction of socialist cultural power is a kind of cultural development activity, which is under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and under the guidance of the theory system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and not only take the scientific concept of development as the theme, but also taking actions around the task of achieving the great development of Chinese culture prosperity. It has a significant characteristics of national, political, epochal and creativity, Volkswagen and sharing. In the new century and new stage, making solid progress in the building of the construction of socialist cultural power is not only a necessary requirement of fully carrying the spirit of the sixth plenary session of the17th and the eighteenth meeting, promoting The socialism with Chinese characteristics and building a well-off society in an all-round way, and solving the outstanding issues of the present construction of socialist culture; but also an urgent need to solve the spiritual and cultural needs of the people, to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, to enhance the national cultural soft power and international influence of Chinese culture to avoid Western cultural hegemony effectively. Summing up experience and seizing the opportunity to ride on the momentum, the party’s eighteenth meeting further made on the construction of socialist cultural power in the new deployment, it stressed the need to push forward the construction of socialist cultural power, and cleared the road, direction, guidelines and principles to build the powerful country of socialist culture, and fundamentally setting the road and the goal that the construction of socialist cultural power must obey, both of the above laying a solid theoretical basis for the futural construction of socialist cultural power.
