Research Of Sino-russian Energy Cooperation Under "Strategic Cooperative Partnership"

The Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation is established in1996, whichis based on the Five Principles of Peace Coexistence. It is non-aligned,non-confrontational and not directed against any third country. And it’s a new type ofstate-to-state relations, in the past16years, the Sino-Russian strategic partnership ofcooperation has maintained a good momentum of development, they have cooperate inmany fields and achieved a lot of success. Under background of the Sino-Russianstrategic partnership of cooperation, China and Russia actively carry out cooperation inoil and gas fields. As a rapid development country, the GDP of China maintains morethan10%growth each year in the21st century. As the rapid development ofindustrialization, the economic development must be based a huge demand for oil andgas, which can not supply in domestic market. It is necessary to take the advantage ofthe international market. On the one hand, Russia has rich oil and gas resources, and theneeds of the vast oil and gas sales market, on the other hand, it’s geographicallyadjacent to China, so under the stable strategic cooperative partnership relations withChina, with the driving force of the oil and gas supply and demand, China and Russialaunched a fruitful cooperation in the oil and gas.
