Study Of UK’s Euroscepticism

United Kingdom has been an awkward partener in the EU. In2010, Consertive Party came to power again. David Cameron was elected as the prime minister of UK when the debt crisis of Europe outbroke. UK didn’t actively rescue Greece and disagreed the new agreement about european finance on the EU summit. People paid more attention to the relation of UK and EU. The purpose of this article is to analyse Cameron’s policy for EU.Firstly, the article defined the euroscepticism. Euroscepticism is to suspect the European integration. Then, the artcle classified the euroscepticism by the content and extent. Afer introduction of euroscepticism, the article combined the UK and EU to discovery the evidence of UK’s euroscepticism. For example, UK promoted the found of European Free Trade Association and didn’t join the Coal and Steel Community,Euro Area and Schengen Agreement as well as some people established the United Kingdom Independence Party to oppose the Masstricht Treaty.All of this proved UK is a country of euroscepticism. It opposed the process of European integration. Then,the article analyzed the reason of UK’s euroscepticism from economy, sovereignty and geography. Secondly, the leader played an important role in the country’s political.Therefore, the article researched why Cameron opposed the EU. This part, the growth atmosphere and influence of Consertive Party became the focus of study. Thirdly, the article described the EU policy fo UK government leaded by Cameron.The EU policy contain political policy, ecnomic policy and social policy showing the government how to suspect EU.Finally, the article look far ahead into the future of UK and EU. UK will continue to play a skeptic role in the process of European integration.
