Study On The Methods Of Ideological And Political Education Of University Students In Xinjiang

With the rapid development of politics, economy and society, the targets, objects andenvironment of education were changing in the field of the ideological and political education.So that the methods of the ideological and political education should be adjust accordingly.Xinjiang is located in the north-west of China, and it is a special minority autonomous regionbecause of co-existence of multi-ethnic and multi-religious. Compared with other universitiesin inland regions, the university in Xinjiang is completely different from others in educationalenvironment, objects, teachers, and functions. Because there are still some problems in theeffect of student ideological and political education, it is necessary to improve the methodsthe ideological and political education of university students in Xinjiang.Although the methods of the ideological and political education of university studentswere scientific and useful in the past in China, there were still insufficient Such as the studentoverlooking, personal education missing, simple educational methods and so on. The methodsof the ideological and political education only focused on the form and purpose. Meanwhilethe Schools, families, and social education are relatively independent. The reasons of that liedin the traditional concept, education systems and talented person training.This paper focused on the special problems of the Ideological and Political Education inXinjiang. The author (1) gave a review of the Ideological and Political Education by theachievements summarized, the development trend analyzed and the reformation significationconcluded;(2)demonstrated the realistic proofs of the ideological and political educationimprovement and innovation;(3) provided some principles include linking theory withpractice, laying equal stress on morally and intellectually and education in accordance withindividual differences;(4)based on changing of educational methods and systems, traditionalconcept and talented person construction, put six specific methods to improve the ideological and political education in Xinjiang. They are:(a) leading the view of the religious andnationality by presenting the facts and reason things out;(b) improving the students’ threeawareness by combining the instructional education and self-education;(c) guiding studentsvalues by exploratory methods;(d) Guide to classification of education method to solvestudents’ thinking and practical issues;(e) enhancing the artistry of ideological and politicaleducation by education.(f) Improving the pragmatically by online education.
