Comparative Study Between Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team And The Opponents’ Main Players Of 11th World Cup On Offensive And Defensive Effects

In modern volleyball match, the chief spikers, the main weapon being equipped with strong ability of attacking, are the main implementers of attack activities of the team. The storm is an important part of a team offensive tactics, so without outstanding ace spikers, a team can not rank top in the world volleyball game. The 11th World Cup is the first qualifying game of the 2012 London Olympic Games,in which the top three will get direct access to the London Olympic Games. The competition reflects the overall strength of various national women’s volleyball team in the world in some degree. By the analysis of the results of the 2011 women’s volleyball World Cup, both merits and demerits can be found, which will provide a reference for Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team to prepare for the London Olympics.In this study, by the way of literature, video observation, interviews with expertsand mathematical statistics, we took a comparative analysis on the attack and defense efficiency of the Chinese women’s volleyball chief spikers and their opponents in the 11th session. Here are the following Conclusions:1) The chief spikers’height, weight, spike height, block height and Quitelet’s index of Chinese women’s volleyball team were higher than the average level of the FIVB World, even compared with world powers. Besides,the age is lower than the average level of FIVB World, especially different from the champion Italian team.2) Used by the chief spiker of the Chinese women’s volleyball Wang Yimei, jump serve gets more offensive and higher direct score rate, but its error rate is also higher, especially in the grasp of the key points. What Hui Ruoqi uses is overhand float which is not offensive enough, but it is more stable and not easy to make mistakes. Compared with game opponents, the effect is better, but there are also some gaps with the world powers.3) The Chinese women’s volleyball chief spikers’attack technologies are still not stable enough. Compared with the world power, the attack success rate in position 4 is higher while the attack points mainly concentrated on the position 4. The attack of the position 2、position 3 and the backline is less. At the same time, the attack effect is not good.4) The whole effect of the chief spikers’blocking of the Chinese women’s volleyball team is higher than the average level of FIVB. But there is still certain difference with the world top teams. Specific manifestations:Blocking ability is not strong; more muffs; effective blocking is less.5) In this World Cup game, there is just Ruoqi Hui get the first pass in the Chinese women’s volleyball chief spikers. Compared with the world average levels, the effect is good; however,there is certain difference with the world top teams (the Top Four).6) The chief spikers’defense is higher than the world average level. But compared with world top teams, the number of succeed catching ball is lower while the error rate is higher than the other three countries of the Top Four.
