Major Courses Under The Background Of College Basketball Teaching Research Of The New Idea

At present, there exist several trends of the basketball teaching ideas in collegesand universities, which manifest open, non-directional and dimensional attributes.Meanwhile, the whole curriculum is improving and teachers are gaining more insightand conducting more researches of the basketball teaching ideas. Faced with thecomplex and changeable situation, new ideas of basketball teaching in universitiesand colleges are urgently needed to guide the teaching activities. The more profoundand practical knowledge and experience teachers can obtain when keeping pace withthe times, the more initiative they can take in teaching activities.An active attitude is needed for the new idea of basketball teaching in order tomake innovations in learning situation compared with the traditional teachingmethods. Although some new methods have been gradually used in basketballteaching and proved out to be effective to some extent, modern sports ideas haven’tgained popularity ,nor have they been taken into practice due to the tremendousimpact of traditional teaching mode. So it is imperative that the current teachingstructure, form and method be improved and new ideas of basketball teaching befurther discussed and studied.This paper is completed mainly by means of studying the literature and data,investigating and interviewing, comparing and analyzing as well as logical reasoning.Based on the theory of comprehensive curriculum outlook and guided by the”PutHealth First”theme, the paper chooses the basketball teaching ideas in colleges anduniversities as its studying object.Proceeded from the basketball teaching situation, analyzing the content of thecomprehensive curriculum and combining the studying of literature and theobservation of present situation, meanwhile aimed at optimizing the overall functionof basketball teaching activities, this paper offers the following new ideas ofbasketball teaching.First,“Culture Communication”Idea. Looking back at the history of basketballdevelopment, we can reach the conclusion that basketball is an entertainment activity with a rich cultural significance. The teaching of technical movements has been laidmore emphasis due to the conventional teaching perspective, yet the wide spread ofbasketball culture is needed in the basketball development .People can have someknowledge of ,then be fond of and finally gain some insight into this activity onlythrough the popularity of basketball culture. The teaching of basketball methods andthe instilling of basketball culture should be attached more importance in the teachingprocess, thus making our students internalize the profound and extensive basketballculture into a part of their self-value. The culture communication of basketball canmake students’sports activities noble than ever before and be conducive to thecultivation of healthy sports outlook as well as the development of a good lifestylewhich improves students’overall quality.Second,“Highlight oneself”Idea. The traditional Confucian culture advocatesbenevolence, uprightness, mediocrity and politeness. Influenced by the equal andharmonious atmosphere where people are reluctant to compete with each other, ourbasketball teaching is too tedious and dull and lack of the practice of guiding studentsto develop their creativity and highlight themselves or their unique characters. So it isimperative that“Highlight Oneself”Idea be widespread and teachers encouragestudents to demonstrate their striking personalities and characters and to realize theirself-value through participating in basketball activities. Thus, students can keep ahealthy mentality and integrate themselves into our society. Also, teachers shouldencourage students to challenge themselves actively and overcome difficulties inorder to achieve self improvement.Third,“Put Life First”Idea. Increasing stress has been put on the study ofeducation from the perspective of life since 1990s.For“Put Life First”Idea stressesthe respect for life and education should abide by the nature law, our basketballteaching process should obey the law of the development of life as well. Thebasketball teaching idea guided by“Put Life First”gives attention to the students’physical and psychological experience in that it enable students to be immersed inbasketball activity, which can be termed as the actual learning process. Teacherseducate students with passion and improve their quality of playing basketball in the atmosphere of mutual respect. Teachers can teach well only with the respect for lifeand students can perform better in basketball activity only by means of treating it aspart of their life. Basketball teaching enable students to learn more about sports ,togain some insight into the existence of human beings, to promote their life and tobecome a person who have more knowledge about sports and health.
