The effectiveness of conducting the school psychology service plays an important role on students to be successful in terms of psychology,academic,and career.School psychologists are the main body of caring out school psychology service. At present, in order to improve the professional level of school psychologists, many countries have developed the professional standards of school psychologist. In recent years, School Psychology in China has achieved certain results and the quality of practitioners on school mental health education has also improved.But due to a late start, there is no still on uniform standards of school psychologists. The NASP standards as one of the most authoritative school psychologist professional standards has matured during these years. It attempts to provide some useful experience for building school psychologist professional standards in China through studying NASP standards. The paper is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction.It consists of the origin of this study, the theoretical basis of this study, research ideas and methods, difficult aspects, the proposed innovation, and the core concepts are defined.The second part analyzes the background of the NASP standards from both domestic and international dimensions.The formation of new standards are analyzed too.The third part introduces the content of NASP standards. It consists of four sub-standards, covering the training of school psychologists, qualification, practice guidance and so on.The fourth part deeply analyzes the value orientation of NASP standards.They are adhering to the concept of multicultural education,pursuiting of educational equity,and paying attention to the development of students.The fifth part analyzes the characteristics of NASP standards from the aspects of structure and content.The sixth part analyzes the effect of NASP standards.The positive impact of the standards is it provides a reference for state school psychologists training and qualification system, and also gives some guidance on the practice of school psychology. There are some disadvantages, such as the school psychologist training program should be improved and the multicultural literacy of the school psychologist should be strengthened.The seventh part gives some specific revelations based on the current situation and existing problems of the training of school psychologists in China.
