| In recent years, independent colleges have stepped into a vigorous developmentperiod, and have played an increasing role in popularizing the higher education.However, the quality of mass higher education has under the spotlight, the evaluationof which become the public’s attention. A lot of practices indicate that the core valueof the mass higher education is the evaluation index system, which largely determinesthe scientific and objectivity, and thus its outcome will be influenced socially tocertain depth, breadth and recognized degree.The thesis firstly is going to study the root cause about how independent collegescome into being and operate. Then based on the examples taken from the independentcolleges in Hunan, the thesis is to dissect the current school operation situation, tosummarize the problems existing from the perspective of educational worker, in orderto purpose the necessity of evaluation. In view of the existing guidance on evaluationof independent colleges, a comparison will be conducted between the existingevaluation system and forthcoming system, which aims to draw an analysis of howthe new evaluation system is constituted. The content includes: to strengthening theassessments on students’ learning result; to emphasis on integration of the index’sbasic and character; to build dynamic index; to pay attention on the normal evaluation;to establish credibility system between subjects and objects. Next, the thesis moves onto problems related to the evaluation index design by combining theory with practice.Also the index selection and requirements of index structure design will be suggested.Afterwards, a suggestion about the index weight design will be proved based onexperience, and the evaluation index system, which is applied on assessing theacademic levels of independent colleges, will be constructed from the guidelines,management mechanism, the conditions of school operation, school management,teaching construction and management, the outcome, the special features. In the end,the thesis will put up specifications on the evaluating process and diversification of itsevaluation pattern. |
