The level of the teachers’quality relates to the success of education. The Secondary education plays a connecting role in the whole education system so the teachers’ training should also be caused by a high degree of attention. The normal Education in the United Kingdom has a long history and it forms a more perfect teacher education system after having experienced a series of changes. PGCE courses is the most important pre-service teacher training courses in United Kingdom, focusing on training future teachers’education competence and it has more reasonable structure,more perfect educational practice and educational evaluation system. This paper selects secondary PGCE courses for the study which has a long history in the British Queen’s University, trying to provide a useful reference for the theory of reform of China’s pre-service teacher education courses and practice.The paper first describes the problem of this study in the introduction part and analysis of the status of related research, defines the core concepts and discusses the objectives, contents and methods of this study. The body part is mainly composed of five parts.The first part explores the historical origins of secondary PGCE courses of the British Queen’s University and analysis the formation of social background as well as its formation of Motivation.The second part render the five aspects of secondary PGCE courses in the British Queen’s University like the training objectives, course content, course structure, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation manifestations.The third part presented and analyzed from three aspects of its operation effectiveness of the education concepts, skills and education, practical ability through the implement presentation of the process of secondary PGCE courses at Queen’s University;The Part four introduces and conclude the four dimensions like the curriculum philosophy, curriculum structure, course content and educational practice; of the characteristics of secondary PGCE courses at Queen’s University.The fifth part is the inspiration and reference one. Through the Comprehensive analysis and summary of the secondary PGCE courses at Queen’s University, combined with the status of teacher education in China, this paper discusses in detail the revelation for China pre-service teacher education programs.
