Study On The Characteristic Discipline Construction In Local Colleges

With the general promotion of higher education in China, local universities and collegeshave shown many problems. It is worth mentioning that as one of these prominent issues,school-mode convergence has become an unavoidable phenomenon in China’s educationalarea. As a result, characteristic discipline construction becomes the top priority of educationalwork in our local universities and colleges.This paper attempts to solve three questions are: why local colleges and universitiesemphasize on making characteristic discipline construction? What are the main difficulties?And what are appropriate solutions?This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the meaning of characteristicdiscipline construction in local colleges. It will explain several important concepts ofcharacteristic development and discuss the role and significance of characteristic disciplineconstruction, which is related to pave the way for followed parts. Through the field surveyand a lot of comparative literature research, the second part focuses on analyzing currentproblems existed in the discipline construction and trying to find attributions. In the third partthere is theoretical analysis of characteristic discipline construction. The basic features, theprinciples of construction as well as basic elements will be summarized, and he theoreticalissues on the construction will also be studied. The forth part is the approach analysis, whichaims to point out the appropriate way to make discipline construction through thecombination of local situation and feature exploration. The final part is to examine the approaches through professional analysis on Bearings degree in Henan Technical University.And ultimately arrive at the practice demonstration of local university characteristic disciplineconstruction.
