With the comprehensive transformation of Chinese society, the increasing urbanization and the multicultural development, more and more people break through the restriction of fixed living regions and the constraint of traditional lifestyles to live in multicultural situations, thereby becoming culture marginal persons or marginal men. The so-called marginal men mainly refer to a class of people living in two different and conflicting cultures. Confronted with adaptation to new cultures, the marginal men often have a cultural identity crisis, which not only greatly affects the survival of the marginal men in the reality, but also greatly restricts and affects the healthy development of personalities of the marginal men. Cultural identity plays an important role in guidance and stipulation in personality development of the marginal men. It is known that formation of healthy personalities of men is closely related with cultural development and cultural identity. Therefore, how to develop the healthy personalities for the marginal men in the process of cultural conflict and cultural adaptation is a vital topic.This paper is divided into four parts totally. The first part and the second part explain causes and root causes for the generation of the marginal men, and summarize the problems faced by the personality characteristics and the personality development of the marginal men. The third part discusses the necessity of the cultural identity of the marginal men and analyzes the guidance and stipulation value of the cultural identity of the marginal men in their personality development. The fourth part explores the development of the healthy personalities of the marginal men from the perspective of cultural conflict and cultural adaptation.
