Objcetive:To know the knowledge, attitude and dangerous behaviorstatus about schistosomiasis of middle school students in Three Gorgesarea in Chongqing, evaluate the effect to high school students ofintervention measures in Three Gorges area, explore the health educationpattern of schistosomiasis for potential popular area, and provide referenceinformation and scientific basis for the relevant departments to formulateprevention and control strategy of schistosomiasis.Methods:According to set up a parallel control group, using thequantitative analysis and qualitative analysis method study the preventionepidemiology of schistosomiasis based on schools. Using the randomcluster sampling method set Rangdu, Xintian town, Houba and Qukoutown as the reference sites,Wuling and Zhendong town as thedemonstration sites, Yunyang town as the outside control site, and extract2-4classes in each school of every site. We take a15intervention measuresto demonstration sites, including health educational lessons, school broadcasting and other activities as theme party and checking oncomelaniaactivities.Using the questionnaire and interview investigate middle schoolstudents during the intervention, and evaluate the effect of health education,including the evaluating of health education process and relevantknowledge, attitude and behavior to schistosomiasis of students in schoolsof reference sites.Result:(1)Equilibrium comparison: it has a good balance about genderand class in experimental group and the control group, and also in baselinesurvey relevant knowledge, attitude and dangerous behavior ofschistosomiasis.(2) The evaluation of process of health education: there are15health education measures,6010persons participated in this study,1979copies related files were issued,133works were collected,16blackboardpaper works. It is67.33%of students’ satisfaction in the experiment sites.The top three names of intervention activities were health educationallessons(97.31%), curriculum(95.58%)and school broadcasting(95.10%).The top three name of intervention activities interest were Schistosomiasisprevention video(60.8%), Schistosomiasis prevention theme party(58.4%),check oncomelania activities(58.4%).(3)The evaluation of relevantknowledge, attitude and behavior to schistosomiasis of students in schools:①After the health education, the knowledge of the ten schistosomiasisprevention was improved,which was up between60.49%and84.72%; Theknowledge of the ten schistosomiasis prevention in internal control group was up between9.82%and13.90%; it was the accuracy ratio of part of thethe schistosomiasis prevention in outside control group that was a littleincrease between0and2.53%, some was reduce. After health education,the differences of Schistosomiasis prevention knowledge pass rate aresignificant between experiment group and internal group, experiment groupand outside control group, internal group and outside control group.②After health education, the attitude of the five schistosomiasis preventionwas improved,which was up between12.32%and59.30%; The attitude ofthe five schistosomiasis prevention in internal control group was upbetween5.37%and12.46%; The attitude of the five schistosomiasisprevention in outside control group was a little increase between0.63%and3.80%. After health education, the differences of Schistosomiasisprevention attitude pass rate are significant between experiment group andinternal group, experiment group and outside control group, internal groupand outside control group.③After health education, the dangerousbehavior pass rate of the schistosomiasis was large reduced, and thedifferences are significant; The dangerous behavior pass rate in internalcontrol group was reduced, and the differences are also significant; Thedangerous behavior pass rate in outside control group was a little reduced,and the differences are not significant. After health education, thedifferences of dangerous behavior pass rate are significant betweenexperiment group and internal group, experiment group and outside control group, internal group and outside control group.Conclusion:(1)It is poor of the knowledge and attitude of schistosomiasisprevention and critical of the dangerous behavior of schistosomiasis inmiddle school students in Three Gorges area of Chongqing.(2)That couldbe increased knowledge, attitude and reduced dangerous behavior to carryout health education of schistosomiasis to students in middle school inThree Gorges area of Chongqing.(3)After health education, the studentswill tell the knowledge and attitude to their friends, which can reducedangerous behavior of them.(4)It has strong feasibility to use thesemeasures as health educational lessons, school schedule and schoolbroadcasting, but the students are more interested and affected by thesemeasures as Schistosomiasis prevention video, theme party and checkoncomelania activities. The combination of them should be better.
