Learning belief and learning strategy are quite crucial for second/foreign language learning. Different language learners hold different learning beliefs and strategies, and their learning beliefs and strategies always have relevance.Since the last century, the researches in language learning beliefs and strategies have become hot issues in researches of individual difference. Some researchers regard beliefs and strategies as two factors and study them respectively; some scholars put these two in the system of learning strategies to do research; but research of the correlation between them only takes up a small percentage. However, the study of the correlation between learning belief and learning strategy has positive significance in the learning strategy field and also in the individual differences field, which has been attracting an increasing number of researchers. Therefore, aiming at tentatively providing a new angle for the research of language learners" selection and use of learning strategies, at the same time providing certain theoretical basis on how to help students set up correct learning beliefs and adopt good and suitable learning strategies by studying the relevant research results at home and abroad and discussing the correlation between learning belief and strategy.This paper, which uses the theory of learning strategies as its theoretical basis, will conduct a systematic study of the relationship between senior high school students’English learning beliefs and strategies and the influence it will exert on their learning behavior, by way of survey, contrast and comparison, as well as conclusion. In addition, on the basis of the analysis of relevant data and teaching situation, the teaching measures that need further improvements will be presented. Most importantly, if all the goals of this survey are reached, this paper will be of some importance to knowing the senior high school students’English learning beliefs and learning strategies, to improving the teaching methods, to promoting effective teaching and learning, and to proposing a new perspective to the study of this kind.
