With the frequency between China and global communication, China have undergone unprecedented changes in the politics, economy, culture and the social attitudes, people’s consumption concept is also changing, the culture of Western consumerism boom in China surging. Consumerism Culture is a Western capitalist ideology, with the penetration and propagation in the world of consumerism, our middle school students have been influenced by the culture of consumerism, consumption value orientation to the consumption for the purpose of life, led to some bad consumer behavior. This is not only a tremendous financial burden to themselves and their families, but also affected the formation of the correct outlook on life and values, and even some people in the blind consumption trends embarked on a path of crime. The main research method is the method of investigation and study and the thesis starting from Consumerism Culture theory, described the status quo on consumption of middle school students under the influence of consumer and influence consumer attitudes and consumer behavior factors and mechanisms to be analyzed and summarized, and put forward the countermeasure which secondary education to respond to consumerism cultures adverse effects on the students.This thesis includes three parts. The first part of the questionnaire on the basis of the Consumerism Culture theory, statistical analysis, mainly in terms of consumer attitudes, consumer psychology, the consumption level and consumption structure, summarized the current middle school students’consumption status and characteristics under the influence of the Consumerism Culture; analyzed the environmental factors which Consumerism Culture impact on the student’s consumption attitudes and behavior in the basis of the status quo of investigation, and in-depth understood the ways and mechanisms of the impact of the Consumerism Culture:encoding(production)-penetration(transmission)-assimilation (identity), to seek internal culture of the operation of the process of consumerism. The second part discourses Consumption Culture has the negative impact on consumption attitudes and behavior of the students that some students appear the utilitarian value orientation, the mediocre ideals and faith, the vulgarization way of life, sense of responsibility missing on moral behavior. The third part discourses the guiding strategies to students consumption attitudes and behavior under the influence of Consumerism Culture. First, from society to build a scientific mode of consumption culture and create a good cultural environment for consumer education; Second, starting from the family, to establish a correct concept and pattern of household consumption; Third, starting from school, in educational goals, to guide the reasonable and moderate view of consumption; in the content of education, bring the consumption concept education into the value education; in educational methods, to carry out flexible consumer value education.
