Along with the system reform of national education gradually, teaching target andthe contradiction between social demand increasing, must further deepen the reform ofthe curriculum system. Track and field is the content of the required courses stipulated inthe curriculum plan,"the guidelines" in track and field course system provides the reformtrain of thought, combined with countries continue to introduce quality educationprogram, in Shanxi Province sports education professional athletics in the teaching goal,teaching content, hours distribution, evaluation, teaching method, this paper analyzed thecontent of the research. For research purpose, in the recent ten years, on the basis ofinformation about the track and field course, using interview method and questionnaireinvestigation method to obtain the effective data, and the data statistics and contrastanalysis, analysis of the current Shanxi Province university sports educationundergraduate course specialized in problems of track and field, and put forward thecorresponding development countermeasure in view of the problem.The results show that:1.Shanxi universities sports education professional training objectives according tothe provisions of the state of course teaching plan has made the corresponding adjustment,training students’ teaching, ability training, school management and social guidance.Various universities sports education specialized in track and field teaching objectivesand teaching tasks are the same.2.From the track and field specialty of teachers, teachers’ age structure reasonabletrend. Highly educated teachers, especially the doctoral degree is less. Teachers’professional titles structure more reasonable, but high professional titles of teachers’ ageis on the high side.3.Basic not majoring in teaching outline of track and field, universities in Shanximost schools according to the new "curriculum plan" and the "guidelines" of trainingobjectives, curriculum setting and school distribution and other related regulations,combined with the case school optional track and field teaching content. Concrete manifestation in:(a) system, the hours is not unified;(b) the proportion of theory andtechnology of track and field specialty arrangement is unreasonable;(c) in same as basicteaching contents in the common course;(d) in different performance evaluation methods,content requirements.4.Most colleges and universities in Shanxi Province there is no specific specialise inthe teaching of track and field, individual schools use the self-made teaching material,even in the common course for the use of teaching material, teaching material selection isnot visible on the track and field specialty. Select theory to study the depth and breadth ofthe textbooks are not enough, the research content is not comprehensive, system.5.In track and field teaching content and basic same, in the common course theorycontent also lockout in previous old content system. Specialise in the class teachingcontent is mainly competitive projects, students understanding of new content is notenough. Not according to the teaching goal and the social need to select reasonableteaching content, cannot satisfy the requirement of students’ learning and development.6.Theory of track and field specialty teaching method mainly concentrated teachingway, unable to mobilize the students’ learning enthusiasm and create students’ thinkingability; Technology of track and field specialty teaching method mainly conventionalexplanation, demonstration, practice is given priority to, to a certain extent affect thecultivation of the students’ practical ability.7.Evaluation standard is single, track and field specialty evaluation content set not tostudent’s physical quality development, tactical mastery of technology, special theoreticallevel and relative progress in attitude, scientific, reasonable and dynamic assessment.8.Universities of Shanxi Province track and field venue, facilities equipmentcondition overall is perfect, but individual college facilities are crude, cannot meet theneeds of teaching of track and field specialty.
