This study investigated134MSW students in Wuhan by using questionnaire to find out their professional identity, career expectation and career decision-making difficulty.By using interactive analysis, single factor analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and other statistical methods through SPSS16.0to explain the relationship of professional identity, career expectation and career decision-making difficulty of MSW students. The conclusions are as follows:The professional identity of MSW students differs in gender, birthplace, the father’s education. The boys and urban students get higher scores than the girls and rural students in the affective, the fitness and the whole professional identity.The MSW students have higher scores in career expectation, and the career expectation of MSW students differs in gender, the father’s education and full-time work experience. Boys pay more attention to the prestigious position than girls; the students whose father having highly education get higher scores in the self-development and the total career expectation than the students whose father with low education; the students who having full-time work experience get lower scores than the others.The career decision-making difficulty of MSW students differs in gender, birthplace, father’s education and full-time work experience. Boys and urban students get lower scores than girls and rural students; the students whose fathers have highly education have less conflicts and difficulties than the students whose father with low education; the students having full-time work experience have less difficulty in lacking preparation, conflicts and difficulty than the students with no full-time experience.There exist negative correlation between professional identity and career decision-making difficulty. There are not correlation between professional identity and career expectation, career expectation and career decision-making difficulty. The MSW students’professional identity can predict the career decision-making difficulty and career expectation doesn’t have a mediating effect between professional identity and career decision-making difficulty.
