"Dual qualified" teachers of vocational school receive more and more attentionin China’s education. The research of "dual qualified" teachers’ status of secondaryvocational schools in Dalian" directly cut into the current focus of vocational educationresearch. Designed "the ’dual qualified’ teachers’ status of secondary vocational schoolsin Dalian survey questionnaire" and investigated a random sample of20secondaryvocational schools in Dalian to comprehensive understand "dual qualified" teachers’number, sources, age structure, educational structure, grade structure, management,training and cultivating, the comparison of welfare and treatment between "dualqualified" teachers and non-"dual qualified" teachers, etc. Designed "the ’dual qualified’teachers’ status of secondary vocational schools in Dalian interview outline" and sixexperts, including vocational education scholars and national key secondary vocationalschools’ personnel directors were interviewed in-depth understanding the subjective andobjective factors which promote or hinder the "dual qualified" teachers’ of secondaryvocational schools in Dalian. Searched and analyzed the problems by means ofquantitative data from the questionnaire and the expert interviews. On the basis of statussurvey and problems analysis of "dual qualified" teachers’ of secondary vocationalschools in Dalian, proposed the recommendations from the teacher training, teacherrecruitment, and teacher management. The recommendations include establishing theteacher training idea of combination of popularization and improvement, broadeningteacher recruitment channels to achieve leap development, establishing stagemanagement policy of "dual qualified" teachers. Discussed the long-term developmentstrategy of "dual qualified" teachers’ of secondary vocational schools in Dalian on theaspect of "dual qualified" teachers’ certification and policy support from vocationaleducation department of Dalian government.
