With the rapid development of higher education, the education of our country has been in the popularization stage, meanwhile, the development of higher education is facing the challenges of the new requirements of the new period. After enrollment expansion of consecutive years, the higher education is developing in the inflation style, which results in resource constraints of per-student and the decline of the teaching equality, therefore, the quality of higher education has become a topic of growing concern of the society. In2007, the Ministry of Education carried out the "Quality Project", since then, the community of higher education has begun the boom of the guarantee system of teaching quality. The research university is an important main force of the national innovation system. The quality of undergraduate education will directly determine the "brand" of research university, if there is no first-class undergraduate education, there is no first-class research universities. In the background of mass higher education, it has increasing become a concerned topic in the academic and university management community that how to improve the research quality of university education effectively and promote reform and development of higher education.The thesis draw on the relative content of Higher Education, Higher Education Management theory, use the ways of literature research, comparative research and case analysis and try the best to put up some feasible suggestions. The paper is divided into five chapters:in the first chapter, it Introduces the research background, purpose, research situation, research methods, etc; In the second chapter, it mainly analyses these concepts of quality, the quality of teaching and the guarantee of teaching quality; In the third chapter, it mainly introduces the current situation, problems and the influencing factors of the quality guarantee system of undergraduate teaching, in addition, it appoints out that the problems perform in personnel training mode, the mode of teaching, curriculum reform, teaching management and teaching evaluation; In the fourth chapter, it carries out a comparative study of some west countries’ overview of quality assurance system of higher teaching, for instance, these representative countries--Netherlands, United Kingdom, the United States; In the fifth chapter, it combines with the case--Wuhan University quality assurance mechanism construction of undergraduate teaching, provides some practical suggestions for quality assurance mechanism construction of undergraduate teaching of the research universities in the underground of higher education popularization:establishing the innovative mode of talent training, promoting course reform, setting up the assurance system of teaching management, building motivation mechanism and improving the evaluation system of teaching quality...
