Poetry teaching plays an important part in language teaching of Chinese in middleschools. It’s good for students to improve the sense of this kind of language and grow theirability of appreciating the beauty. It is believed this is an easy way that students can followteachers to deepen their feeling of Chinese by reading and appreciating suchpoetries.Moreover, they can be affected by the author to refine the beautiful words. The aimof Chinese classical poetry teaching should be fostering the ability of reading andappreciating. But during the teaching, teachers are always ready for examinations. The boringmaterial and simplex style cause the students don’t have enough interest on Chinese classicalpoetry.As for teachers, they can try some new ways, such as thematic teaching. First, it is mustbased on accumulating knowledge. It can be easy for students to make sure of the themeaccording to the imagination of the poetry and the author. After then, the teachers can use theway of thematic teaching. They can connect the poetries which have the same theme witheach other and break the style of teaching that from the beginning to the end as usual. It canhelp open their eyes to the reading world and guide them appreciate Chinese classical poetriesin many different reading angles. When the teachers do it like this, they can compare thepoetries which have the same theme with each other in more different angles. It is necessaryfor students to improve the skills of reading, writing and expressing on poetry appreciating atthe same time when the teachers use the thematic teaching. Students need to be left somequestions to explore more according to the theme of the poetry after the analysis.Only the teachers change their spoon feeding method of teaching that can raise thestudents’ interest in learning. Only the teachers show the original teaching methods that caninnerve their nerve of reading. Only the teachers pay attention to accumulating knowledgethat can foster their capability. I really look forward to that my research can instill newvitality to the Chinese classical poetry class and make Chinese class more active.
