Computational Thinking is an important concept which has attracted widely international attention in the domain of computer technology currently; it is also a key topic that computer education needs to study on. Besides, it is a fundamental concept relates to essential problem of computer science and its future direction. Professor Zhou believes that Computational Thinking, which is based on the fundamental concept of computer science, can be used in a series of thinking activities which covers computer science, such as problem solving, system design, and human behavior. In the scientific activity process of understanding and transforming the world, human can not work without Computational Thinking. Knowing Computational Thinking well is the need of innovation in the information society, and it provides a powerful guarantee for training talents with higher information literacy and high school students’entering the universities even the society.At present, the research of Computational Thinking has launched and achieved some results at home and abroad. However, the application and the training projects of Computational Thinking in high schools have not caused enough attention, and how to train Computational Thinking in teaching progress is still unsolved. In addition, we don’t have unified teaching materials of Information Technology Curriculum but the "One Guide-Multiple Text" policy, and the main contents of the teaching materials are basic knowledge, basic operations and applications of Information Technology. Otherwise, there is still no literature that summarizes the problems mentioned above neither domestic nor abroad.Therefore, based on the calculations of Computational Thinking and the present situations of information technology for high school education,"Research of Information Technology Education for High Schools Based on Computational Thinking" occurs. The research has certain significances to the research and development work of the basic computer education in domestic high schools.This paper pours the idea of Computational Thinking into Information Technology of high school education, grasping the knowledge of Computational Thinking systematically from the angle of curriculum content system, paying attention to the sustainable development of computer application ability training, and emphasizing to cultivating students’ability of lifelong learning in the process of analyzing and solving problems. It briefly states the background and present situation of the research, as well as the theories related to the research. Then it analyzes and discusses the curriculum aim, especially the organizing forms and the relationships between them, the implementation conditions, how to create the teaching form and the inquiry method, including some teaching cases about the programming curriculum. Using Computational Thinking in the programming curriculum could enhance students’ independent-inquire ability and their interests, stimulate students to form correct scientific attitude, make their mentality more open and thoughtful, enhance students’ cooperation ability, and improve students’question ability. Finally, I list some problems during the research.Research of Information Technology Education for High Schools Based on Computational Thinking reintegrates the knowledge system of the basis Information Technology teaching for ordinary high schools with a core of training students’Computational Thinking ability, making beneficial explorations for training innovation talents with the ability of Computational Thinking.
