With the development of the national economy, as the part of the imbalance ofeconomic development and other reasons, population mobility has Chinesecharacteristics. We know the floating population is large in scale by the previouscensus data, and the floating population problem is attracting more and moreattention. While the flow due to different causes of population has broughtdifficulties to the national management, at the same time, on economic situationof the inflow and outflow has produced a corresponding impact. There has veryimportant practical significance on the floating population.From the current census data analysis of a project subject to tender, thecommunity has been lack of development and utilization of census datadeficiencies; at the same time, method of population data analysis is lack ofmastery. Most analysis reports and articles only stay in the description of theanalysis of the data, and the interpretation of the deeper meaning of miningdataand the data is not enough. And the reason of deep administrative levels is thatmaster’s the basic methods and technology analyst population analysis is notenough, failed to fully reveal the essence of phenomena of population census dataimplied.At present, China’s statistics agency of the census data research has the verybig difference to overseas. At present, China’s statistics agency of the census dataresearch and overseas has the very big difference. In recent years research oncensus data has been entered into the application of Web application, theapplication of data warehouse and data mining technology; China’s statisticsagency has not put into application of data mining in the census data, and onlyused the database technology to obtain some results.The quantity of China’s outflow of population is large, data analysis methodused in ordinary is unable to analysis the underlying principles behind the largedata. Therefore, the application of data mining in the census data has very highacademic value and broad market space.Based on the previous work, the use of data mining method is mainlyaccording to the sixth census of Inner Mongolia province population outflow dataanalysis. By using the algorithm of association rules to unearth the overallcharacteristics of population outflow and population characteristics of differentoutflow reason. By generating and pruning association rules and extracting theknowledge, basic characteristics of the province total outflow and characteristics ofdifferent outflow cause can be unearthed.
