Mathematics education in China has been focusing on logic, preciseness, and anexcessive emphasis on the role of deductive reasoning. Plausible reasoning, as a means ofmathematical discovery, has not been in the proper location. After the New CurriculumReform carrying out, the focus of our education is diverted to ability-type other thanintelligent type, which recommends students to promote innovation and practical ability. Thecourse changes very much, for the first time the plausible reasoning as a mathematical part ofthe reasoning appearing in textbooks. In the ten years implementing the new curriculum, it is very necessary to research thecurrent situation of high school mathematics plausible reasoning ability development. Thisthesis gives the definition of plausible reasoning and describes the meaning of plausiblereasoning to the development of mathematics, students and mathematical educations. Itanalyzes the status of the sensible reasoning ability of sophomore liberal arts and sciencestudents through a questionnaire survey and experimental treatments; says that students areindividually different in plausible reasoning and discusses the influence factors ofmathematics sensible reasoning ability from literal arts, science, gender, interest in learningmathematics, etc.The author reads many textbooks and curriculum criterion, pointing out the focus on various parts of the textbooks and college entrance examinations, and describing the key toheuristic education, inquiry learning, and MM teaching experiments, which contact theplausible reasoning and develop it.Finally, on the basis of analytical and experimental studies, the author provides proposalson training plausible reasoning of high school students, for example, daily penetrations, intuitive thinking, and mathematical appreciation of the beauty, the importance of mathemotion and the ability to discover the problem.
