Electrochemistry is a very important part in fundamental structure of Chemistryin senior schools. Primary battery is one of the important ingredients inelectrochemistry and it is the basis and beginning to learn electrochemistry. Accordingto 《ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standard》, we should let studentsexperience the process of inquiry, stimulate students’ interest in learning, and cultivatestudents’ innovative spirit and practical ability. To do that, we should let the studentsexperience chemical experiment based on research activities. Therefore, as achemistry teacher, we must change the idea, and update teaching methods. Besides,we should also understand students’ knowledge level thoroughly, guide the students tolearn independently, explore, and cooperate, and develop students’ scientific quality.Based on the idea, in view of the present high school chemistry coursecharacteristics and teaching situation, from the experience of the high school students,and guided by the theory of constructivism, the study intends to do practical researchon the classroom instruction design in the application of senior school chemistryconcept.In the stage of the practical research,taking the original battery related withchemical concepts as carrier,through the test probe of students’ preconceptions,we can analyze the origin of preconception of primary batteries of senior high schoolstudents and then define the principle of original battery, construction conditions oforiginal battery, and the application of original battery as the research object.Thus, we use inquiry teaching in the experimental class and conventionalteaching in the control group. In contrast with the teaching effect in the experimentclass and the control group, you will find the inquiry teaching has obvious effect topromote students to grasp the concepts. I hope that the study will provide usefuladvice both in theory and in practice for teachers who do the chemical design andcarry out the inquiry teaching. By doing so, I look forward to promoting the efficiencyof high school chemistry class and helping a lot to senior middle school chemistryclassroom teaching.
