Research On The Intervention Of Social Work For Street Children Rescue

The rescue management of street children is an important part of China’s social relief work. If we can solve the problem of street children rescue management related not only to the development of vulnerable groups and but also to the social harmony and stability. There are many difficulties in the management of solution to rescue street children, such as the complexity of street children rescue; the imperfect social assistance system. The humanization and scientific of the social assistance system to street children needs the further improvement of social work. Social work institution involved into the management of street children rescue, its goal is to help street children timely obtain material help and gradually recover their social function, eventually return to the family or society. Social workers should analysis the reason of street children from three levels, from the society, family and personal perspective, and then find the countermeasures. According to the particularity of the children, establish a full range of assistance system:from the material aid to education aid, from the institution aid to return to the family and society, as well as post-placement and follow-up service.In recent years, researchers gradually explore the mechanisms of social work intervention; which began to focus on the psychological coach of street children. Those mainly focused on interviews within the station of street children. But few studies did research on the social work intervention into street children throughout the rescue process. This paper uses a literature review and case studies combined method to analyze the general procedure in street children rescue work, case by case. The general process model emphasizes the entire service process that social workers and service objects joint efforts together to the problem-solving process, generally it is divided into: taking the case, estimate, planning, intervention, evaluation, closing and follow-up of several stages. From the perspective of ecosystem theory, this paper analyzes the causes of street children and Solutions. The purpose of this paper is to internship the individual street children into the context of the entire rescue mechanism--the ambulance station. Through the studying of difficult of the rescue mechanism and the causes of street children, this paper tries to improve the living conditions of street children. And through social work policy advocacy, it tries to promote the implementation of the legitimate rights and welfare of street children. The innovation of this article lies in the in-depth discussion of the rescue mechanism with the general process of social work practice. It uses the integration of social work perspective to analysis the plight of street children rescue, and focused on the interaction of street children and their system. It also decides the intervention measure according to the specific situation. Social workers should use the perspective of.integration of systems theory, focus on the interaction between the system of street children and their families, schools, peer groups.
