Undergraduate education quality is the basis for the colleges and universities to survive and develop, and also is the external theme for the development of colleges and universities. However, the educational assessment of colleges and universities is an important method and key point to guarantee and improve the educational quality. Although the undergraduate teaching assessment methods of China higher education have achieved institutionalization and standardization, traditional undergraduate teaching measure and assessment both neglect the most direct participants in teaching activities—students’ educational harvest.The paper starts from the modern educational idea "Student-centered" introduces the tool of "NSSE:the National Survey of Student Engagement", takes undergraduates in H university as the research samples, through the perspective of "Students Engagement", opens up a new thought to effectively measure and improve China undergraduate education quality.Firstly, through combing the literature, the paper briefly presents the practice record that the powerful country in world higher education guarantees and improves the education quality, explores the shortage in the existing research. It emphasizes that in the educational idea of "Student-centered","Student Engagement" experience has great significance to students’individual development, and students’educational harvest. And then, through the introduction and analysis of research results related to "Student Engagement" at home and abroad, it constructs the connection between undergraduate learning engagement experience and education quality. Finally, it introduces the most powerful tool for surveying student engagement—NSSE, and makes a briefly introduction about it.Secondly, the paper makes the statistics and analysis of student evaluation data for H university undergraduates from five comparable indicators:learning academic challenge degree(LAC), active cooperative learning level(ACL). students and faculty interaction, educational experience enrichment(EEE) and support of campus environment. In the general, the paper grasps the current situation of undergraduate learning engagement in H university, and based on it, selects the indicators different from norm colleges to detailed analyze the specific items, and seeks the detailed factors for influencing undergraduate engagement in H university. Meanwhile, it analyzes the development of undergraduates in H university from four aspects: knowledge and skill, cognition and thinking, social communication ability, and self-concept, which can effectively grasp the educational harvest of students in four undergraduate career.Thirdly, the paper focuses on the items that students performing significant difference, based on controlling students’background information, explores learning engagement experience which influences students’educational harvest.Finally, based on the research results, the author starts from the perspective of students engagement, and proposes some suggestions on how to guarantee the undergraduate educational quality in H university:firstly, hold the educational idea "Student-centered", improve student engagement; secondly, build effective communication platform between teachers and students, promote their emotional interaction; thirdly, enrich extracurricular extended learning practice, promote students’development of comprehensive ability; fourthly, integrate information-based teaching mode, improve students’information quality.
