With the deepening of the socialist market economy and the open policy, higher education system revolution has been deeping constantly, and contemporary undergraduates becomes more active and pay more attention on subjective consciousness, and also come with diversification and individuation demands, so informal groups among undergraduate emerge as the times require, and now play a significant impact to the normal moral education activities positively and negatively. This paper will present a systematic discussion on how to strengthen the positive effects on informal groups in school moral education.Informal groups of undergraduate is relative to the formal group students, mainly refers to groups formed in accordance with the will of individuals spontaneously, which appeared in the process of college students’ learning, life and social interaction, and based on their common interests, ideas, interests and needs. Its main characteristics are:spontaneity, affective, relative stability and authority, excludability.Through the data got from a survey for undergraduate informal groups from seven high schools in Zhengzhou about the following five aspects:undergraduate’s choice orientation on group community, undergraduate’s motivation to informal group, the influence and impact of informal group on undergraduates, the influence and impact of organizers, we come to conclusion that, the positive efforts of informal groups in school moral education mainly for conducive to the shaping of students perfect personality, the formation of low threshold about moral education activities, play a supporting role on moral education in school. The negative efforts mainly in the aspects of the negative informal groups play adverse effects on individual healthy growth of undergraduate, autonomous behavior without constraints is not conducive to the stability of the order of the school, low quality of the informal group organizers misleading its direction. The reasons of existing negative efforts mainly are the complexity of informal groups, lack of regulating and improving and low personnel comprehensive quality of organizers. In order to strengthen the role of informal groups of college students in school moral education, the relevant departments must make efforts by following:establish the management system for informal groups, actively guide and promote the growing of groups healthily and focus on the education and training of informal group organizers.
