In this paper, we determined the theoretical framework of this paper after reading a lot of literatures about servant leadership theories. Then we surveyed the headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school.We can tell not only the condition,but also its experience and shortcomings of the headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school form the data. According to the shortcomings,we figured out some ways to improve the headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school.The conclusion of this research are:1、The data of questionnaire shows that the total score of the headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school is4.3455points. The scores for four dimensions of servant leadership are: leading to the development of the school (4.4956), individual quality (4.4067), relationship with the staff (4.3200), the way of treating the staff (4.2150). Headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school is in a relatively high level,for the headmaster who implemented a series of school management.2、Headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school also exists some disadvantages.The score for " the way of treating the staff" is minimum, which means the authorization of the staff needs strengthened.The scores for "active sympathy staff" and "active guidance staff" is low, which means the initiative of servicing teachers is lack slightly. A few of teachers just couldn’t get the servant leadership,for there is no personalized service.Taking the experience and shortcomings,the favorable conditions and the difficulties of the headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school into attention, we figured out some ways to improve the headmaster’s servant leadership in.S secondary school:taking the headmaster’s servant leadership into the school’s performance appraisal system, giving the staff more chance to take part in the managment of the school,finding more ways to training the staff,providing personalized service and so on.
