Research And Analysis Of The High-level Men’s Basketball Team In China University Of Mining And Technology

The men’s basketball team of China University of Mining is one of the high-levelones which were tried to set up first in China. After exploration and practice of morethan20years, it has achieved brilliant achievements, formed its own brand andcharacteristic, which has been one of the representatives of the national excellentuniversity basketball teams. However, with the unceasing enhancement of China’saverage college basketball level, the increasingly intense national college students’basketball league competition, as well as the big changes of the basketball team at thesame time, there are a lot of problems in the team, which affects the development of theteam. At present, the team is in the wandering situation. According to the research andanalysis of the high-level men’s basketball team in China University of Mining, theauthor is trying to provide useful suggestions to solve these problems and be beneficialto the development of this basketball team. In addition, the author is also trying toprovide the theories and practical basis of the work of general university high-levelbasketball teams’ construction and development.This dissertation chooses the high-level basketball men’s team of Chine Universityof Mining as the case study to conclude the situation of this team and the factors thataffect the development of this team by means of literature review, questionnaire survey,and mathematical statistics method. The conclusions are as follows:1. The high-level men’s basketball team in China University of Mining has formeda relatively mature mode and operation procedure in the concept of organizing the team,admitting students and choosing talents, training and competitions, the management ofthis team, and the development of athletes. 2. The high-level men’s basketball team in China University of Mining develops ina wandering situation. The main facing problems are: the difficulty of enrollmentincreasing, the students’ quality declining, reserve talented person lacking, coaches’coaching experience lacking, contradictions between learning and training aggravating,and incentive mechanism not well organizing.Suggestions from the author are as follows:1. The enrollment sources and channels should be widened. The independent ofchoosing talents should be improved. The cultivation of the reserve talents constructionshould be strengthened. These methods can guarantee the team stable source of reservetalented persons.2. The team can hire excellent external coaches to drive the team out the difficultposition. At the same time, the university should vigorously cultivate our coaches, forthe long-term development of this team.3. Another effective method is to establish more rational and scientific learning andmanagement measures, which are easy operated. The team should reconcilecontradictions between learning and training, to reduce the pressure of athletes.4. The team should perfect incentive mechanism, improve the enthusiasm ofathletes and coaches in training and competitions. The university should attract morebasketball talents to enter China University of Mining.
