Leading College Campus Cultural Construction Under The Framework Of Socialist Core Value System

The socialist core value system is the soul of our country, which determines the development direction of socialism with Chinese characteristics."Socialist core value system is the solid foundation of socialist ideology, the essence of the socialist cultural construction. Colleges and universities are important fronts for socialist advanced culture and significant support for cultural inheritance and important source of thought and cultural innovation. Carrying out research on the college campus cultural construction leaded by socialist core value means a lot. This thesis demonstrates and explores from empirical investigation and practice pattern.Seeing from the perspective of empirical investigation, contemporary college students do not have adequate understanding of the main content, the basic spirit, and the status and role of socialist core value system; moreover, as to the subject of college campus cultural construction they have a strong, diversified need but low evaluation. The survey result demonstrates the great urgency of the education of socialist core value system as well as campus cultural construction in colleges and universities, especially the construction of campus culture leaded by education of socialist core value system. It is the inherent requirement of advanced socialist culture, the basic assurance of healthy development of construction of campus culture and the desperate need for strengthening university students’ideological and political education.Seeing from the perspective of practice pattern, college campus cultural construction in colleges and universities leaded by socialist core value system should combine direction with scientificalness, dominance with diversity, and inheritance with unity. On that premise,"relying on curricular study, expanding extracurricular activities, and enhancing campus cultural construction" requires measures and staff. Therefore, the thesis suggests as follows:first, to improve the ideological and political quality of the educators, and further initiate the function of ideological and political educators. Second, to strengthen the construction of the counselor team, and further increase the counselors’ability in real work under the guidance of socialist core value system. Third, to strengthen the construction of student cadre, and further highlight the student cadre’s dominant position in campus cultural construction.
