Along with the mobile communication technology rapid development, the GSM-R special-purpose mobile communication system acts the more and more important role in the railroad leap frog development, oneself is becoming the direction of the railroad correspondence development, in which wireless channel radio wave cover and influence to the correspondence quality is wireless communication engineering design and wireless network planning and optimized most core essential factor.First, along with the railway transportation to the high speed, the informationization direction develops, the railroad communication also in develops to the redundant reliable wireless migration direction, but the characteristics of wireless coverage and bumps is the core elements to determine the quality of the wireless network. This article based on the introduction of cover probability and the dissemination model will give loss formula for the five geographical environment, two types of rail lines, four combinations of mobile terminals to combine separately, calculated under a particular coverage area radius. Subsequently uses Maximum switching time, switch capacity, cell coverage radius parameters to discuss the relationship between the overlapping areas and speed, given the overlap of a new planning approach, and compares and analysis of the performance of the method.Second, through a comprehensive analysis of the objective environment of high-speed railway and the characteristics of high-speed moving locomotive, combined with the parameters derived in this article, for the lack of the public’s network of the wireless channel model, the author improved the established Clarke model, built a mobile communications multi-path channel model which is suitable for the environment of high-speed movement. Combined with the spread of radio waves, and simulated by Matlab to authenticate the channel performance and practicality of the improved model. In this article, it studied the propagation characteristics of 900MHZ radio to the different terrain environment along the railway line. It will provide an accurate basis for GSM-R network planning and dealing with the weak field, this will be co nducive to improving the design quality, shorting the design cycle, accumulating design experience and it will promote the development of railway communication professional’s design capability.Finally, uses the result of researching the GSM-R radio coverage characteristics and the multi-path channel model in the GSM-R system environment, to discussed the wireless channel in range of different speeds of Rayleigh and compared bit-rate error performance between the different speed and different multi-path.In discussing the impact of wireless channel of communication quality, especially analysis the effects on the impact of communication quality of the Doppler and multipath, proposed some main measures to improve the communication quality and some theory basis for our country’s wireless network field intensity cover.
