Product exhibition has an important influence in the product developments ativities. The virtual exhibition makes the full use of virtual reality technology, with the use of computer platform to simulate the interaction of virtual products and virtual environments. It has intuitive, visual, and able to clearly express the characteristics of the product.This paper, studied the realization of the vehicle virtual exhibition based on the Virtools platform. Firstly, the paper introduced the development and research situation of virtual reality and virtual exhibition. Combined with the subject, through the analysis and comparison of the use of virtual exhibition technique and Virtools in the exhibition system, developed the technology platform and route to realize the vehicle virtual exhibition. Secondly, through 3D modeling software 3ds max, realized the 3D entity modeling of the vehicle. Based on the model optimization settled, finished the virtual product exhibition scene model. And then combined the characteristics of the Virtools platform for virtual exhibition, interactive designed the vehicle virtual exhibition. It’s included analysis the basic movement and the movement relationship between the various components, achieve the interactive control of the vehicle. On the basis of the realization of vehicle virtual motion, depth studied the collision detection and virtual camera set in the exhibition process. Finally, realized the virtual exhibition of dynamic demonstration and published works, which based on the post-integration.The innovation of this paper is that, realized vehicle virtual exhibition and published works based on the Virtools platform, probed the product virtual exhibition technology, solved the technology difficulties in the process of product virtual exhibition, and have great significance for the application of virtual reality technology and products of multidimensional performance.
