With the rapid development of things of internet, RFID applications have beenwidely used. With the limitation of computing and storage resources, how to protectRFID card’s data security and to ensure the safety of the user card, becomes aproblem to be solved.This paper focuses the data integrity and confidentiality of the RFID cards. Thispaper is using information hiding and digital watermarking technology to increase thedifficulty of illegal obtaining and tamper the information, in order to improve the datasecurity of RFID cards. For embedding the image to the smart card, if the space of thesmart card is very small, without consider the quality of the image,we can use binaryimage watermarking, embed the watermark to the original image. For color imageand grayscale images, using LSB can increase the storage space for embedding. If therequirement of the quality of the image is relatively high, using DCT transform toembed the image. If we don’t want to use images, we can use Arnold transform tocreate scrambled information, so the attacker cannot obtain the original information.In order to reduce the consumption of space in smart card, we can help smart cardgenerate zero-watermark, save in background servers. Using UID and data embeddedin the card, through SHA-1and so on to generate auth-code, can prevent tamper, copyand ensure the data integrity.
