| RF simulation technologies can implement the test work for the performance of homing head bysimulating radar targets and the electromagnetic scattering feature of the target environments in themicrowave anechoic chamber. The simulation technologies can make a comprehensive effectiveassessment for the performance of homing head with lower cost, and promote the homing headdevelopment technologies largely. Therefore, RF simulation technologies are indispensable methodsin the process of homing head development. At present, most of RF simulation technologies in China are still at centimeter frequency stage. But in recent years, with the rapid development of millimeter-wave technologies, the application ofmillimeter-wave simulation technologies has come into a new stage. Therefore, the research onmillimeter-wave simulation technologies is very necessary. As a measurement tool of millimeter-wavesimulation system, the main function of the calibration system is to correct the location of the antennaarray and the electrical parameters of millimeter-wave feed system. The basic features ofmillimeter-wave and the overall design for calibration system of millimeter-wave simulation systemare analyzed in this thesis. According to the overall design, high performance millimeter-wave devicesare used to develop a calibration receiver with high sensitivity, large dynamic range and highpositioning accuracy, whose performance parameters are also measured. The calibration program is designed based on analyzing calibration process in detail, which cancoordinate each subsystem of the simulation system to work effectively. The flowchart is given foreach module of the program, and the implementation of key-modules is discussed. The target location formula for the binary group is deduced and the impacts of amplitude errorand phase error on target accuracy are discussed in the thesis. The measurement error of calibrationreceiver and the pointing error of three-axis turntable also have important impacts on the targetlocation accuracy, which are also analyzed. Finally, the calibration method of the calibration system is described and the test data areanalyzed in the thesis. The analysis results show that the target location precision and target trackingfeature meet the requirements of the design for millimeter-wave simulation system. |
