In this paper, we presented the basic theories of compressed sensing, then discussed theradar imaging technique in detail. We summarized the application of compressed sensing inradar imaging field, it seems compressed sensing theory has great potentiality both in simplifythe radar hardware designing and the improvement of radar image’s quality. The shortage ofusing compressed sensing to radar imaging process is also presented in the paper. This paper focuses on compressed sensing theory and discussed the ground-penetratingradar. the paper’s structure are as follows. The second chapter explains the difference betweencompressed sensing theory and traditional code program. The third chapter is about theground-penetrating radar imaging technology. The last chapter presents a compressed sensingmethods based on dictionary, it will apply to the ground penetrating radar imaging and signalprocessing. Experiment results show the ground-penetrating radar imaging algorithm basedon atomic set have the characteristics of shorter data acquisition time, fast imaging, and thealgorithm is very stable.
