| Due to the cultural influences, catering industry has been in development statecontinuously. In the21century, the rise of “wireless restaurant system†represents theleading technology of catering industry. It implies that the restaurant industry hasentered into the field of science and technology.After analyzing the intelligent development of catering industry, this thesisproposes the self-ordering system based on Nios II. The purpose is to enhance thedining interest for customers, provide customers with more convenient and efficientintelligence service, and reduce the human cost of the catering industry. The thesisresearches a fully intelligent ordering system without attendants based on Nios IIsoft-core processor. Customers could browse the category dishes of restaurant on touchscreen of ordering terminal in real time, such as specialties, hot dishes, cold dishes,drinks and so on. The touch screen also involves pictures of dishes and introductiveinformation. After ordering, ordering terminal transmits message to the backgroundmanagement system via ZigBee wireless local network, and then operators couldarrange dishes on demand. When waiting for dishes, customers can view the state ofproducing, retreat or add dishes. After eating, customers could print bill with messagewhich is transmitted to background. To increase interaction with customers, the systemalso provides function of registering. It filled with convenient and fun in the entireprocess.The work of this thesis is divided into system hardware design and software design.The hardware consists of four modules: LTM touch screen module, SD card storagemodule, SOPC system and the wireless transceiver module. LTM touch screen moduleand SD card storage module consist of IP cores and user-defined module separately.With SOPC Builder and Quartus II, the hardware modules are integrated into SOPCon-chip system to realize the design of SOPC system. Finally, design a simple starnetwork for wireless transceiver module which transplants ZigBee protocol on CC2430,and then complete the function of communication. The software design includes:transplant uC/OS II operating system and uC/GUI graphic library, research touch screenresponse mechanism, develop application program for the graphic library, design SDcard software program, design ZigBee wireless network software program and designMFC management system interface. At last, the system runs stably and gets desired effect.The system can improve the interest of ordering from vision and touch; reduceattendants’ task, reduce labor costs, and avoid the case of lack of staff in peak time; Inaddition, it can provide more comprehensive and real-time service for customers andimprove the quality of consumption. The system makes the restaurant operation objectstransferred from waiters to customers, provides service which traditional system doesn’thave, and adds interactive between customers and restaurant. |
