| Nowadays the speed of Mobile Communication System and the intelligent degree of Mobile Terminal are both enhanced. And CMNET users are increasing dramatically. Many applications on the Internet have been widely available on the mobile phones. The mobile phone is no longer a simple communicate tool. It becomes one of the most important media between man and Internet information. Most of content on the Internet is designed for PC users, so the Web Page Adaption is inevitable when mobile phone users are eager to visit these Internet resources on CMNET. Common Web Pages are displayed on Mobile Terminals usually face with some problems of screen size, processing ability, software compatibility, etc. The research on the Web Page Adaption for Mobile Terminal in this paper is aim to solve them and bring more comfortable experience.The research result of this paper comes from the Research Institute of China Mobile’s third generation program of Web Page Adaption for Mobile Terminal. The main purpose is to provide a system which transforms the traditional applications based on Browser/Server (B/S)structure of clients into mobile ones. Terminals use its business service through the CMNET and no need to install the client software. This system in this paper has functions of Web Page Adaption, content transformation and system management. All functions of the system are supported by the extensible Plugin System Structure, to satisfy the Web Page Adaption for different Web elements. Finally it meets the demand of adapting the Internet content to Mobile Terminal. In addition, this paper also develops a management module of Web Page Adaption System. It makes configuration changes of Web Page Adaption System more convenient.The system has been deployed to the enterprise proxy servers. The result from user shows better performance. Compared to previous generation system, the Web Page Adaption System has been reconstructed and optimized. The processing ability and reliability are both improved. Because of the scalability of the Plugin System, more plugins are added into it. So it makes the system can adapt more content from Web Page to Mobile Terminal. And from user data we can see that this system satisfy the demands of the concurrent users, response time, time delay, memory use and stability, etc. |
