Along with the progress of the society and the improvement of people’s living standard, the quality of vehicle has also increased rapidly. On one hand, it raised people’s quality of life, but on the other hand it also caused serious environmental pollution. Motor vehicle emission has been one of the main sources of environmental pollution in city. Reducing automotive emission has become an urgent problem. Research shows that, improving driving behavior, i.e. with green driving behavior, can reduce automotive emissions.Lacking of guidance to green driving without a model, and green driving related security issues, long-term effect of the reduction of green driving behavior and evaluation of green driving behavior are still not been resolved.Based on driving behavior, traffic environment and vehicle information, driving behavior was analyzed and the green driving behavior model was established in this paper. Variability driving behavior and fuel consumption state is relatively stable. As the driving behavior is variable, and fuel consumption state is relatively stable, this paper presents driving information to be processed in accordance with the fuel consumption state. By function, green driving behavior model is divided into five parts they are the function of perception, decision-making function, operational function, and recognition capabilities. By the organic combination of these five parts, it can complete the training of green driving behavior, that is, reduce fuel consumption and improve traffic safety.During the process of the research model, some key technologies, including OBD technology, GPS and GIS technology, eye tracking technology, the lane recognition and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation have been studied. Among them, using the eye tracking to study driver attention on driving safety and driving behavior model is the characteristics of this model.In the fourth chapter of this paper, using the C++ languages, the QT framework and the OpenCV digital image processing library, I have completed some of the features of the model. Then by connecting with the real vehicle, I have obtained the corresponding experimental data. This model was validated and achieved a certain amount of energy-saving effect. Implementation and verification of green driving behavior model has laid a good fundamental for subsequent research.
