| With the rapid growing process of urbanization, urban transportation system is facing serious problems:traffic management difficulties, accidents and the inadequate road planning, Intelligent transportation system has accurate and automatic access to road traffic information in real time, which can calculate the density of vehicles, determine vehicle moving direction, estimate the vehicle speed and weight the load that the vehicles take. This can help build intelligent transportation system.Traffic flow parameters are very important and can be achieved by AMR magnetic sensors. AMR magnetic sensor can be used to establish intelligent transportation system in China as it is in small size, at low cost and easy to install, This paper studies AMR magnetic sensor based vehicle detection algorithm, including detecting the presence of the vehicle and estimating the speed, here we give a series of descriptions of the common used vehicle detectors, it’s principle, it’s application environment and why we choose AMR magnetic sensor in the system. My job is to design Software and hardware programs about the system as well as make specific implementations. Signature analysis can be used to design vehicle detection algorithm, with all the analysis, I propose a new algorithm,the dynamic Threshold Algorithm to detect vehicle, use two detection node to calculate vehicle Speed. |
