Criminal science and technology plays an important part in the public security system,and fingerprint identification has the most direct impact on it. Since fingerprint identificationhas the advantages of easy extraction, easy storage, short time of comparison and lowrequirement for the environment of laboratory, it is widely used in the public security system.The premises of fingerprint identification are: we need to collect the fingerprint of ten fingersfrom many criminal suspects; and the technicians need to extract fingerprints on the site.Collecting these two kinds of fingerprints can not only offer the basis for investigation andclear-up, but also increase the success ratio of fingerprint detection. Therefore, how to collect,store and share these fingerprints and make it used by the technicians efficiently andaccurately is the necessary foundation of fingerprint identification.As to the matter that how to manage the large amount of fingerprints in the publicsecurity system, and make its effect maximized, this article analyzes and discusses themanagement of fingerprint press, onsite fingerprint, inquiry data, statistics of workload andthe statistical method of fingerprint information with the combination of practical application,and puts forward the solution of fingerprint information collection and management, partiallydevelops and tests the fingerprint information collection system with the basis of Oracledatabase and c/s framework. This article consists of the following chapters: chapter one isintroduction, which mainly introduces the background of the thesis, the relevant status ofdevelopment fingerprint archives management at home and abroad, the purpose andsignificance of the design of this system, and the relevant technologies and methods to beused; the second chapter is the relevant technologies of the design in system, which introducesthe development platform, type of database and system frame structure in detail; chapter threeis the general design the system, which generally analyzes and designs the function of thesystem with consideration of the actual need of public security system and problems neededin the application, and determines the functions of each module in the system; chapter four isthe detailed design of fingerprint information collection system, it designs the specificfunctions and relevant configurations of each module according to the functions of eachmodule built on chapter three; chapter five is the implementation and test of the system, it runs the function of each module, and test, analyze and evaluate its results.This article shows the design principle of fingerprint information collection system, themodules of the system and the functions of each module with visual system analysis structurechart, and introduces the specific implementation process of each function in detail. The corepart of this fingerprint information collection system consists of user database, fingerprintpress database, onsite database, inquiry database and source data backup library. The userdatabase can not only divide the users in group according to the users’ limit of authority andattributes, but also do some addition, deletion, and modification work; fingerprint pressdatabase can add, delete and change the relevant information of the fingerprints of ten fingers;onsite database is used to add, delete, edit and change the onsite fingerprint and thecorresponding text information; inquiry database can not only inquire the fingerprintinformation of fingerprint press database and onsite database, but also the operationinformation to the specific record made by the user; data backup can back up the data insystem according to the detailed requirements, in order to avoid the loss of data. The wholesystem offers design according to the actual problems met in the public security system,which basically addresses the relevant problems in the application of fingerprint technology inpublic security system.
