The modern library of high quality and efficient management and servicesdepends on the level of the library computer management system, achieving ahigher one form to the library-the basis of the digital library transition and anecessary stage. Therefore, tracking the development direction of the librarycomputer management system to meet the dynamic changes in the demand forservices is important practical and theoretical value. At present, whether at home orabroad, the library computer management system with the help of computertechnology, communications technology and network technology has madetremendous progress, experience from the stage of the first module, functionintegrated system to network digital, stage of the emphasis on a variety ofresources to effectively integrate next-generation information management system.With this adaptation, and emerging technologies are also showing diversificationbooming trend, the library management system, an unprecedented development,maturing and powerful function.In order to meet the requirements of the mainstream of development trends inthe global library computer management system, development and construction ofthe library computer management system is also catching up. But it is undeniablethat the library computer management system in China is still a certain gap withthe international advanced level. Especially some of the local university library,has been largely due to the constraints of a number of reasons, which do not adaptto the library literature information service under the network environment and theneeds of the Document Information Sharing, the mode of management efficiencyand service levels urgently to improve. Based on the gap between the reality ofdomestic and foreign, in the analysis and comparison of the function of the prosand cons of the mainstream library computer management system at home andabroad as well as the development status of our university library computer management system and the basis of existence of the main problems, Nanning,Guangxi, where colleges and universities for specific research object to thequestionnaire as the main way, complemented by online research, interviews,literature research, University Library in Nanning are using a variety ofmanagement systems, starting from the basic functions of the eight modules,respectively, to conduct a detailed comparative studies, and the principle of overallbalance and consider the applicability of the system, the advanced nature of thearchitecture and product economic.
