Telecommunication network is currently varying from 2G to 3G, which force major telecommunication equipments suppliers improving the investment proportion of the development and test of base station. Tranditional test technology can not be adapted to the massive amount of work and the requirement of test reliability. Automatic test may improve efficiency effectively, reduce manpower invest, and decrease mistake of humanbeing, and is becoming the future direction of technological trend.Tranditional automatic test refers to software automatic test, while current mature package ignores hardware interface and system invironment, these kinds of base station’s automatic test will show more care about individual parameter’s analysis, by the cooperation with large external devices, such as signal collection, spectrum analyzer, and so on.This thesis designs an automatic test platform for classical base station, which is based on the principle of GSM communication system, by integrating the developing idea of software platform, aiming at the design of the environment of communication network, and adopting the working scheme of server-client terminal.The automatic test platform for base station in this thesis is running in the sub-system of actual base station. Several key technologies, such as MML, SQLite and HTTP, are adopted to realize the mutual function between BSS controller. BSS. Mobile phone with Computer. Few hardwares are cooperative with automatic test platform, in order to achieve the automatic test of the function of BSS system, and the statistic and management of test cases and test results.
