Study On Centralized Monitoring System Constuction Of Value-Added Service Platform

Mobile value-added service is the service to meet the needs of different customer groups and market demands on the basis of the basic voice business through utilizing network and terminal capacity, it is the result of more detailed market segmentation. The customers’preference and dependence on mobile value-added services keeps increasing, the stability of the services does not only relate to the service provider’s benefit, but also have impact on the service provider’s reputation and the image of their brand. A centralized monitoring, centralized maintenance and centralized administration network management system is very essential to ensure the stable operation of the service platform, to enhance the maintenance capability, to keep the active monitoring, to detect any problems before the customers and to objectively reflect the sound status of the platform.The general structure of the value-added service platform of centralized monitoring system studied in this paper was based on the background when the value-added services increase rapidly, the actual distribution of platform, management situation and the problems encountered in the daily maintenance in China Telecom was also taken into consideration. The centralized monitoring system of value-added service platform in China Telecom was given as an example to discourse how the multi-functional module to meet the demands of platform monitoring, maintenance and management. Given the special position of monitoring system in the network, the paper designed the system security structure. The content studied in this paper is closely relating to actual demands from work, the result of the research has been put into application in current network. Based on the overall monitoring structure designed in this paper, the functions of centralized monitoring system of value-added service platform in China Telecom have been well achieved or improved. Currently, through Topology Display function, by using NMS client, the alarms on system equipment performance and status of the platform has been achieved, and the dynamic baseline enables the alarm on key business indicators, platform-level and business-level monitoring has been a major measure in on-duty staff’s daily work.
