The files are basic units of storage in computer systems.The expansion of the size of the business has brought a explosive growth of data, a frequent exchange of data and the centralized and unified management of massive data, and a series of new demands and challenges. These demands and challenges means transparent, fast, secure transmission of files with data between different regions within the enterprise, different departments. File transfer are faced with a variety of different computer OS, different network protocols, and even lots of very large distributed environments. File transfer middleware emerged in response to various challenges.This paper studies and describes the design and implementation of thin-client system of a file transfer middleware. It takes as few as possible resources of client platform to provide a series of easy-to-use APIs to upload and download files between client nodes and server nodes of user environment. A variety of useful additional features such as multi-protocol switch, secure, encrypted channel and detailed transfer log records are also provided.Users with shortage of resources or special needs could use the similar function as fat client of file transfer middleware.The thin-client system of a file transfer middleware can be used as the upgrade and replacement of the traditional simple transfer tools.The paper is mainly about the work of the following areas:1.
