Along with the Internet of Things technologies have been enjoyed popular support, ina "enabling" (Enable) role of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has beensuccessfully used to manufacturing, logistics management, public security, transportation,etc. In the global scope it has got greatly extension and application, various productsalready came out, technical standard and application solutions also mature. Currently thedevelopment in the low Frequency band RFID products as technique or standards havebeen very mature, the UHF (Ultra Hign Frequency) RFID has already been entered thegrowth, development and application of microwave RFID is improving.This paper comes from the actual application; the research object is applied inwarehouse management system for long-distance UHF RFID reader system. Based on RFcircuit design theory, this paper makes a deep research and collation on the protocols andspectrum regulations of UHF RFID, we completely discusses the entire process fromproposing scheme to implementing circuit and testing performance .And we haveoriginally explored many key techniques which are applied in the design of RF readers.Firstly, the paper carefully knows the development history of the RFID, the presentsituation and development trend of RFID, then existing problems are also reviewed. Inanalyzing the actual application needs, and the performance of each frequency band basedon RFID system, a conclusion is made to use UHF RFID for this project .Secondly, the basic principle of UHF RFID system are analyzed, including the systemarchitecture, the reader’s circuit structure and work procedure , backend database system,etc.Third, RFID standard -- ISO18000-6C, EPCglobal-Class1Gen2, according to theprovisions of the protocol standard and practical application requirements ,this paper worksout the main technical indexes of RF front end.Fourth, key technology -- zero intermediate frequency receiving technology, afterresearching and comparing various RF receive technology, zero intermediate frequency is the best one to realize the emitting and receiving signal.Fifth, according to the division of the project team, this paper’s task is to finish thedesign and implementation of the reader’s hardware circuit, based on the analysis of theRF circuit and the chip’s technology support, the highly integrated RF chip R2000 isdecided to be used as the core module to design the circuit.Sixth, draw principle diagram, make RF plate and power panels, and provide thecircuit performance test results and performance parameters.At last, present the improvement plan for now completed circuit problems.
