Research Of The Problem-based Learning Activities In Secondlife Environment

There are some obstacles exist in the problem-based learning in the traditional teaching environment, because of the limitations of Classroom teaching space, such as abstract problem situations, the learner’s lack of dominant position. SecondLife virtual environment can create a realistic, intuitive learning environment, immersion and simulation to fully mobilize the various senses of the learners, help learners’ problem-solving ability and knowledge migration capabilities. Therefore, this study introduce SecondLife to problem-based learning mode, trying to explore the design and application of learning activities in the environment.In this study, on the basis of literature research, combined with research and analysis of the actual learning environment, a more in-depth research from both theoretical and practical problem-based learning activities in the SecondLife environment, problem-based learning in the SecondLife environment activity model, with the the Linden language in SecondLife constructed environment, to use SLoodle aided teaching platform to improve the management of the process of teaching activities, and use the "modern library management "courses as an example of a teaching experiment.The study have shown that it is feasible to carry out problem-based learning activities in SecondLife environment, the learners’ interest and enthusiasm has been greatly improved, collaborative inquiry to solve the problem. SecondLife environment to create the flexibility for learners to explore and innovation to provide a lot of space, overall teaching effectiveness, and promote learners and problem-solving skills to improve the actual situation.
