This paper introduces a way of measuring temperature strain on seamless rail by a type of Inductance displacement sensor that bases the principle of differential transformer, and the process of Instrument design.With the development of social, the transportation by railroad is playing a more and more vital role in the People’s daily lives. The train has been the major means of travel for peopl in our country. The steel rail is a extremely important part in the railroad system. When the temperature of the steel exposed in the field changes, there will be a temperature stress in the rails. The temperature stress that is enough large to force the steel to be out of shape can seriously threaten the train safety running. The seamless rail is widely used for the trains are running more and more quick. Because the reserved space of the seamless rail is very short, the changing temperature will bring more greater impact to the seamless rail than the common rail. Many people from all the countries in the world are busy with doing research on detect the temperature stress, but so far there Isn’t a way or Instrument satisfying everyone.We can know the temperature stress for the strain-displacement that is measured with the inductance displacement sensor. Meanwhile, we research and improve the relevant software and hardware in this paper. In the course of the study, we chose the transformer-type inductive displacement sensor with high accuracy, good stability, differential to measure the strain-displacement rail for the temperature changes, and write programs by assembly language programming to achieve temperature compensation during the measuring, intelligent improve the measurement accuracy and stability of the system. At the same time we select AD590temperature sensor to achieve simultaneous measurement of rail temperature. So we can get the temperature corresponding to the displacement and then know the circumstances on the rail.Finally the special-purpose software help the instrument communicate with computer.The development of this type instrument of temperature stresses fulfilled fast and precise measurement. The instrument has the characteristics of simple, low cost, credible and fast responds, which make the instrument having applied value.
