As technology continues to progress and development, the applications of smart card is more and more widely in life and the benefits of the information network is obvious for our lives. Smart cards have an increasingly important role in the network of electronic information. The smart cards have an irreplaceable role in storing, processing and transferring the information. As a unique way of data storing and flowing, the smart cards have many features with costing lower, be mobile and high-security, all of this is not containing in many other network devices. The research of operating system for smart cards is very meaningful.Along with the application of smart cards increasingly more and more widely, the demands for the smart card will be higher and higher. The smart card application is related to people’s property, real identity and a lot of very important information, all of this is relation with security performance of smart card, so there will require a higher level of safety performance to ensure data reliability and integrity. In addition the production and development of smart card also play a great impaction for a wider application of smart cards. Therefore, there are very important things to design a smart card system with hardware independent and high performance model for the development of smart cards. It can make the smart card system operating in any chip, and makes the smart card development process shorten, and accelerate the application of smart card.The research of this paper is about COS. First introduce the background and significance of the smart card. Then analyze the structure of the smart card from each individual module to the overall process of a data stream. With understanding of the basic content of certain aspects of the smart card, it have do some improvements in three respects, from unrelated hardware which mainly to solve the smart card of the transplant problem, and the smart card algorithm which contains the research of the merits and weaknesses of the analysis and crack of discrete encryption algorithms, symmetric encryption algorithms, asymmetric encryption algorithm and time-variant parameter. With the analyzing of file system’s organizational structure and the overall framework, it gives a portable, multi-file system model. The methods are similar when improving the hardware independent and file system, separately with reference to JAVA card system and the characteristics of the Linux file system. Finally, the process of model construction is described in detail, and which aspects need to start with and considering factors in process of requirement analysis, then give the introduction of the architecture model construction process, in which the factors to be considered and the division between the modules and interface and interaction between the models. Then evaluate from the time, space and the achieve efficiency.
